About US

origin story

The 2day Project started in Auckland, New Zealand, after we, a group of eight adolescents, realised how deeply suicide affects our country. The loss of someone in our community and seeing the response to it made us more aware of the stigma surrounding suicide. This experience ignited our determination to create The 2day Project, a reflection of our commitment to raising awareness and offering support. As adolescents, we understood that our voices are often overlooked in conversations about mental health, so we found strength in our unique perspective.

The 2day Project encourages the idea of “living for today,” reminding everyone of the value and promise that each day brings. Despite personal struggles and grief, we believe it’s crucial to focus on the changes needed to support those affected. Our goal is for The 2day Project to provide a safe, inclusive space for anyone impacted by suicide and its far-reaching effects.

our mission at 2day

Our mission at the 2DAY project is to contribute to a world in which individuals feel the significance of their existence and the value of living for today through advocacy, outreach, and a strong commitment to destigmatizing the effects of suicide and their ongoing impact. We aim to cultivate inspiration, hope, and guidance within a community where individuals can transform their struggles into strength and embrace the blessing of today.
